The Refugee Socio-Economic Graduation & Livelihood Opportunities Project is a WFP-funded initiative implemented by a consortium of four partners: RWARRI (Lead), Cordaid, Inkomoko, and Pro-Femmes/Twese Hamwe.
Background
The project aims to strengthen the self-reliance and economic resilience of 2,200 refugee and host-community households, including 500 young women, across Mahama, Nyabiheke, and Mugombwa refugee camps in Rwanda.
Through a structured 30‑month graduation pathway, the project will empower participants to transition from aid dependency to sustainable livelihoods through:
- Financial inclusion and VSLA strengthening
- Climate-resilient agriculture and livelihoods
- TVET skills development and job placement
- Market linkages and private sector engagement
- Gender-transformative programming
